Following the heart

The story of how I came to work in this field is one of serendipity. I always seemed to have a knack when it came to helping others. I would come across people in pain and I found I had a need to help ease their suffering.

It wasn't something I gave too much thought to. It was something that just seemed to happen naturally.

Until one day, I was driving to work and heard an ad on the radio to study natural medicine. Something in me said yes, and despite feeling unsure exactly why I was following this internal yes signal, follow it I did.

And as I followed my heart and learned more about acupuncture I found that healing and working to help people is what I was born to do.

I also learnt to always trust my yes signal, that my heart would always steer me true.

Several years on, I had my first introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and experienced first hand the profound changes this modality could facilitate.

 

What is NLP?


NLP is a therapy which uses language to make dramatic changes in the emotions and the way the brain works. An NLP consultation is similar to a counselling session in that we sit down and just have a conversation about what’s going on for you.  

 

And in the same way that acupuncture can work to help the body return to a state of balance, NLP can achieve this just using simple conversation. The effects are powerful. It can help you feel more confident, relaxed and calm, can ease anxiety or low mood, and it can clear the effects of past trauma gently and effectively without you needing to relive anything.

And so my journey has brought me here. Following my heart and deeply rooted in my desire to help others.

I feel extremely fortunate to have found my way here. Working with people and helping to ease suffering is what I was born to do, it is the thing which lights me up and gives my life purpose.

The Way I Work

I offer acupuncture and Chinese medicine, NLP and Heart Centred Coaching sessions, as I've found these modalities to be highly effective for helping my clients achieve their goals.

All the work I do is designed to support healing and to ease suffering and distress. To facilitate change. To help you take real steps towards becoming the very best version of yourself.

When I work with someone, I spend time getting to know how they experience the world. What their values and belief systems are. I like to get a really clear idea of what it is they want to achieve, so I can work with them to bring it to reality.

I recognise all human beings are unique, and so not all approaches will be suitable for everyone. If we work together, I will take the time to work out the approach best suited to your individual needs. We will work collaboratively to help you move towards your goals.
